Being clean or contributing to the transition? CSR facing sustainability

ASSOCIATED TO THE AREA OF EXCELLENCE
SUSTAINABLE ORGANIZATIONS & FINANCE

WHAT DO WE FOCUS ON?

The corporate social responsibility (CSR) of an organization does not mean being “clean” (or “sustainable”) by itself, but rather being part of a collective process aiming to make the society evolve towards sustainability. We develop a reference document providing a frame for corporate social responsibility that is larger than that of classical CSR, which can be leveraged by organizations to actively contribute to sustainability. This research work is developing: 1 an alternative model of corporate social responsibility that can be termed “Contributive Strategy for the Advent of Sustainable Development” (Stratégie de Contribution à l’Avènement du Développement Durable, SCAD), 2 specific methodologies for the support of SCADs towards sustainability.
